Introduction to Playing the Violin

Welcome to your new violin course: ” Introduction to Playing the Violin”!

In this course you will learn all you need to know as a foundation to playing the violin, from the history of the violin, to the parts of the violin, correct stance and your first technique: Pizzicato.

The complete lessons are on a video in each separate lesson. There is also additional written material and a written intro to each lesson.

At the end of this level, you will be asked to complete a small quiz. Please do this and send it back to your tutor, so that you can receive some constructive feedback before moving on to level 1!

Remember that learning an instrument takes time, effort, dedication, discipline and patience. Give yourself the chance to make a success of playing the violin and also remember to HAVE FUN as you go!
